Our classes for Fall 2010 include:
Village – Zoom Buggy! – Swoosh, vroom, and clickety-clack your way through this delightful unit. Babies and adults will dance, sing, and play instruments to the theme of being on the go. Dream Pillow – This title alone brings images of rocking, cuddling, singing, and lulling to sleep. But leading up to sleepy time are many upbeat and playful activities. Engage in rituals and playful activities such as infant massage, lap bounces, exercise, and quiet time. Home Materials: CDs of beautifully arranged songs from class, 2 board books, sets of Art Banners for the nursery wall, and 2 instruments for home

Our Time features Milk & Cookies Make everyday home activities and chores easier and more fun with music! Move, play, and sing together in developmentally appropriate activities created just for 1 1/2 to 3-year-olds. Capture the familiar and new moments of the day and learn how music can impact your toddler. Home Materials: Double CD featuring songs from class, two books, stir xylophone instrument, and a Home Activity Book – all arriving in a durable lunch bag.

Imagine That! Hello Weather, Let’s Play Together! With weather as our learning theme, preschoolers will explore musical styles that range from Opera to American folk, and become more self-sufficient in a creative musical environment that integrates music, pretend play, storytelling, movement, and more. Children meet without adults for 30 minutes, then adults join us for 15 minutes of sharing time. Home Materials: Two books, Hello Weather Play Set, two CDs, Family Activity Book, and two instruments – ankle bells and rain shaker with scraper.
The cost is $240 for children ages 3 & 4.

Kindermusik for the Young Child is a pressure-free, playful, developmentally appropriate curriculum that helps to prepare children for future formal music instruction. Reading and writing musical notation helps lay the initial groundwork for musical success. Children meet without adults for 45 minutes. Adults join us for another 15 minutes of sharing time. Materials include: a children’s folder, games bag, songbook, badges, stickers, CD, glockenspiel (YC I) and carrying bag. Children new to YC III will need to purchase a glockenspiel for $25.
